These two settings work in a tricky way together. For instance, any code generated by the Periodic Renewal Count task system is an active invitation and thus counts for the Maximum Active Invitations setting. So, if a task creates 10 invitation codes for a group, and the maximum active invitations for that group is is 10, user in that group won't be able to create new codes. Codes will need to expire or be deactivated.

This is by design and not a bug.

This setting only works for invitation codes with Points with a value greater than zero( 0). If, for example, the invitation code has a Points value of 30, and the Referral Points Share setting is set to 50, the new registered user will get 30 points, while the invitation code owner will get 15 points.

It works in the UserCP because the user has moderator permission (for this plugin). Do you think moderator permissions should work only in the ModCP?

But you can use the Subscriptions plugin to sell group promotions, and allow this feature only to such promoted groups. I think this approach is good enough for now.

now since i added max active 1000, user should able to create invitation if there is less than 1000 code available in his invite system. is it correct?

Does the user has additional groups? If yes, does such groups have different permissions? Does this happen to regular users or also administrators or moderators?

Could you share a test account to your forum where I can replicate this issue?

Only if the code expires or is deactivated. Not all codes expire or get deactivated automatically. For example, if the stock for that code is 10, the code will be deactivated after it is used 10 times, or gets manually deactivated. If the code has no expiration code and has unlimited stock then it needs to be deactivated manually, otherwise will always be active.

So, if the code gets deactivated somehow, then yes, the user will be able to create a new one.

The global setting Default Stock is used for the codes generated by the task or if the user has no permission to set custom stock.

The Stock field is the amount of uses a code has, for example if 10 then the code can be used 10 times.

The Codes amount field is for generating multiple codes at once.

This is not a planned feature, sorry. But, it is possible that this two fields Periodic Renewal Count and Maximum Active Invitations fields work better together.

For example, it could be better if they worked separately, so codes generated by the task don't count towards active invitations.

I could be willing to add this improvement.

at this moment i cannot provide any live site. i don't have any site yet. currently i only testing on my local pc.

okay i got your points. User buy "VIP" group with points. Invite system task generate invite.

here is one problem (not sure though)

1. assume i set 30 Renewal period. so every 30days renewal period will generate invite code for VIP.

lets say 1st day of the month Renewal period finish the task and generate invite code for all VIP group. so next cycle will be 30th day of the month.

now if someone upgrade their group lets say 5th day he have to wait for 30th day to get the invite code. is it correct? if it's correct in that case could you make a feature as soon as someone upgrade to group he will get invite code, he don't have to wait 30th days? basically my goal is to provide only one invite code when someone upgrade their group.

my goal is to if someone upgrade account he will get 1 invite account. and there will be no "Renewal Period" may be this is extra feature i am asking.

2. if someone have the invite code but he is downgraded to usergroup, will his invite code still work?

No, this is incorrect. The time for renewal is stored for each user, so if a user upgrades on day 5 he will get his renewal codes the next time the task runs.

They should work, yes, as long as the downgraded group has permission to use existing codes.

Requesting for another option:

Maximum Invite code group user can generate in X days X number

like i can set in 30 days user can able to generate 1 invitation code. even though he has no active invite code (already used by someone) yet.

Hi, I'm unsure that is a highly requested feature, but I will consider it for future release.

basically i will disable system auto generate invite. and allow group to create generate invite X number in X days
